Head Coach: N a t e U r b a n c i c
Coach Nate Urbancic brings many years of experience to the Soquel High Wrestling program. After wrestling varsity for Soquel High, Nate went on to be SCCAL league champion two years in a row in 1991 and 1992. He was also a member of the 1992 California State Championship Freestyle team. In 1993 and 1994, Nate wrestled with the SCVVA Freestyle Wrestling Team. Coach Urbancic has also served the wrestling community as one of the leading referees in the District leagues. He managed the mats on and off from 1997 to 2005. From 2004 to 2005, Nate served as the head coach of the San Lorenzo Valley Middle School Wrestling Team. Coach Urbancic has been our leader at Soquel High since 2005 and continues to teach and motivate our wrestlers to higher levels of achievement and sportsmanship. We wish him a long tenure here at Soquel.
